UTEP Scholarship Application

UTEP offers scholarships to new, first-time students that range from $2,000 to $20,000 per year. The application is open from Oct. 1 through Jan. 31.

At UTEP, we recognize that students have different backgrounds and experiences, but we believe that all students have strengths and assets that will contribute to our campus community. We value academic excellence, leadership, and service to others, and recognize that these characteristics may come in different forms including high school grades, volunteer hours, employment, helping your family, participating in a place of worship, and others.

UTEP Presidential Scholarship Up to $20,000 / year. Renewable for up to four years.

Presidential Scholars are selected for their remarkable leadership, top academic achievement and public service. The awards are up to $20,000 each year, depending on the total cost of attendance, for four years. Presidential Scholars must maintain a 3.5 GPA, complete 30 credit hours each year, and participate in service activities at UTEP to remain eligible.

UTEP Excellence Scholarship Between $2,000 - $8,000 / year. Renewable for up to four years.

Recipients of the UTEP Excellence Scholarship demonstrate one or more characteristics including, but not limited to, high school leadership, academic leadership, public service, civic leadership and service, workplace leadership, family service and UTEP fit. Scholarship recipients are required to maintain a 3.0 GPA, complete 30 credit hours each year, and participate in service activities at UTEP to remain eligible.
